Chicago’s Free Zoo

Up bright and early! feeling tired but I knew we were only here for a few days so we had to make the best of it!

As we were walking out of the apartment I booked an Uber and within minutes we were on our way to the Chicago Zoo. After arriving at the gates we were looking for the ticket booth to pay, asking one of the many staff that were walking around they informed us that it is 100% FREE! how amazing!

Of course we asked how they made money and they said it was from people’s donates and from the gift shops and food venders.

It was a beautiful place and it was huge! we spent about 3-4 hours walking around looking at everything, really worth it.

After that we caught another Uber back towards our apartment, we then walked around Chicago city for a bit and checked out the shopping centre near by the apartment called “water tower place” I think there were around 6 or 7 levels, lots to check out.

Not long after that it was time for dinner, it was our last dinner here in Chicago so we wanted to eat at a local restaurant in Chicago. We walked past this restaurant called Blue Agave Tequila Bar & Restaurant and decided to check that out, so glad we did, amazing food! I ate the most amazing nachos. I have to say its the best nacho’s  I have ever had!
